Our Self Serve Farmstand

Our Self-Serve Farmstand is a small seasonal roadside stand here at our farm in Britton, Michigan.

What you'll find at the stand depends on the season, what's growing in the garden, what our animals are producing and what I've been busy making. We aren't a large commercial farm, so our selection changes often—and when something is gone, it may be gone until we have more.

That's part of the fun of shopping a small seasonal farmstand!

What You May Find

Depending on the time of year and availability, our stand may have farm-fresh chicken and duck eggs, seasonal vegetables, herbs, flowers, handmade goods and other goodies from VanBuskirk Acres.

Not everything is available all the time. We grow, raise and make in small quantities, so the stand changes right along with the seasons.

Self-Serve & Seasonal

Our farmstand is self-serve, so you're welcome to stop during posted hours, see what's available and follow the payment instructions at the stand.

Because this is a seasonal farmstand, opening and closing dates may vary from year to year. Hours may also change because of weather, availability or just everyday farm life.

When You Visit

VanBuskirk Acres is not only our farm—it's also our family home.

Please remain in the designated farmstand/customer area and do not drive or walk past the gates.

For the health and safety of our animals, we do not offer farm tours or allow visitors into our poultry or livestock areas. Keeping outside traffic away from our animals is an important part of our farm's biosecurity.

Farmstand or Online Shop?

Our seasonal farmstand and VanBuskirkAcres.Myshopify.com work a little differently.

The farmstand is where you'll find locally available seasonal goods from the farm. Our website is home to a larger selection of the things I make, including herbal teas, soaps, salves, balms, bath goods, handmade home goods and other creations.

Some website products can be shipped, while fresh and perishable items are available for local pickup only.

Grown, Raised & Made on Our Little Michigan Farm

Our farmstand isn't about having perfectly stocked shelves every day. It's about sharing a little of what our five-plus acres gives us.

Sometimes that means baskets of garden produce and plenty of eggs. Other times Mother Nature—or the chickens—has different plans!

That's the beauty of a small seasonal farmstand.
